Factors for SEO success
If you’re a newbie in digital marketing, it is easy to get overwhelmed with its ins and outs especially when it comes to search engine optimisation.
But fret not, the team at PINC 360 will walk you through the things you need to consider in order to increase your business’ ranking in Google’s search results page and to improve your website’s organic presence.
But first things first: you have to understand that all the factors should be combined together in order for your SEO strategy to work. Implementing one or a couple of them won’t increase your chances of organic search success.
Now let’s get to them one by one.
On-page SEO
On-page SEO factors are elements that you can control within your website. They include what your site visitors can see such as the content, the images, and the like. They also comprise of HTML codes, metadata, and other files that the search engine crawlers can read.
In on-page SEO, individual web pages are optimised by using the right keywords in the content, HTML headings, metadata, and alt tags. All of these are influenced by the publisher or you, as a business owner. Ensure that these elements help search engines and your audience what your site is all about.
Off-page SEO
When you do activities to help boost the search engine ranking of your webpages or your website outside of the site itself, you are doing off-page SEO.
Common activities that are considered part of this strategy include backlinking, which deals with how many authoritative sites link to your content, and domain authority, which is measured between 1 to 100, 100 being the highest score.
There are many factors considered to the measurement of domain authority but the age of the domain, domain name registration length, availability of WHOIS info, among others all contribute to this metric.
If you’re confused, think of off-page SEO that deals mainly on how many times your website or your webpage is mentioned in the interwebs.
Technical SEO
This aspect of search engine optimisation refers to the activities done to ensure that Google bots can access, crawl, understand, and index your website without any issues. Factors falling under this include page speed, mobile-friendliness, SSL and HTTPS security, sitemap and robots.txt implementation, and more.
Why should you care about all these?
Operating offline is no longer feasible today. If you want to stay competitive and be seen by your target audience, you need to establish strong online visibility. Unfortunately, if you don’t know how to optimise your website to rank well for the keywords related to your business, your target market won’t be able to see you. As a result, you won’t be able to drive traffic to your site and bring in sales for your business.
At PINC 360, you can seek expert advice on how to launch your brand’s digital marketing strategy. We can help you assess what needs to be done in order to boost your discoverability and maintain your presence on the web. Call us to get started on your SEO implementation today.
